Lonely China Day is from Beijing, China. No, they don't play traditional Chinese music. As hard as it is to believe, there is a small yet burgeoning indie rock scene in China and LCD is in the top tier. Lonely China Day is a minimalist indie rock quartet akin to the likes of The Album Leaf and Sigur Ros led by singer, primary songwriter and laptop wizard Deng Pei. Born and raised in Beijing, Deng Pei, a graduate of the Heinzmann Piano Production School, started writing music at age 15.

Dian Bang is not the typical electronic band. We create sounds / musics using laptops, feminine vocal with the additional of live instruments such as guitar, tambourine, xylophone etc. Technology may have make things easier but it does not make our sounds / musics less vibrant.
Dian Bang consist of two individuals with opposing music style, one highly diversified vacalist and a back up musician/percussionist. Together, we look forward to seek our individual voice.

The band's songs range from sugary infectious power pop (hanging out with you, charm me) to good old rock (flight, the kawawa song), with a dash of heartfelt love songs (panaginip, hide and seek) in between. They are mostly about real feelings, whether how shallow or how deep, from the most kilig, no-brainer, fun experiences, to the most complex, profound, and emotional ones. The songs essentially encompass what the band members have been through, as care free high school girls to being young responsible women.

BABY NIGHTSOIL
(a.k.a dr. cockroach, miss spiritual tramp of 1948, dj parke-davis)Leaving the United States on a diplomatic mission to the People’s Republic of China, durf humphries realized he would not be able to bring all of his musical toys with him so rather than limit his output as dr. cockroach, he returned to his sound manipulation roots and created the Baby Nightsoil project. Armed with a big ass hard drive, Baby Nightsoil got to work immediately upon settling in Nan Chong, Sichuan. Balancing his responsibilities to the local community, teaching at North Sichuan Medical College, providing free guitar lessons, and writing letters to his mom back in the US, Baby Nightsoil has produced an abundant amount of music since arriving in China and has helped throw some of the greatest parties Nan Chong has ever seen.

He has performed sets in Chengdu and Nan Chong as well as sent sets back to the US, including a special set for Foxxy Cotton's Zombie Birthday in Atlanta, Georgia. He has performed several acoustic sets in Sichuan. Putting the finishing touches on a full length release entitled “Can You Use Chopsticks (to eat pussy),” the album should be up for free download within the next couple of months. His art-music video installations under the dr. cockroach moniker are still shown in the United States and have been shown in China. A remix he did for breakcore icon Mochipet was recently released as part of “Feel My China Vol. II” on Daly City Records. He is eager to work with musicians throughout the world, but especially in East Asia.

With their line-up fixed in November 2008, Anna Judge April is here to stay! Combining the sounds of synthesizer madness with a good dose of rock and roll, AJA will bring about a new wave of rock that will get you dancing, dancing, dancing. The band is currently recording an EP and hopes to release it by mid-2008.
